Composite Cladding FAQs
Is composite cladding better than timber?
Many customers do prefer a composite cladding finish for their garden buildings compared to a traditional timber or cedar finish.
Composite cladding is highly durable, low maintenance and designed to withstand the ever changing outdoor conditions. Unlike traditional timber, composite cladding is highly resistant to rot and pests therefore does not require regular wood or pressure treatment.
Wood grain composite cladding is designed to mimic the look of traditional timber whilst boasting a modern, aesthetically pleasing finish resulting in this being the most popular finish amongst our customers.
Does composite cladding fade?
There may be a very small amount of colour change within the first few months whilst the cladding settles however the UV protection prevents long term fading so you can be assured to keep the same vibrant finish for decades.
How long does composite cladding last?
The longevity and minimal upkeep of composite cladding makes this most favourable amongst customers. With a simple clean every so often, the cladding is designed to last for decades with an expected lifespan of 25+ years.
How do the composite boards fit together?
We finish your garden buildings by slotting the composite cladding boards together and fixing them with hidden screws. This guarantees a clean finish with no visible screws or bolts.
What if I change my mind on colour?
Composite boards cannot be painted so it is worth choosing a colour you are confident with. We offer flexibility right up to installation with 8 different colour samples to choose from to either match or complement the surroundings.
Is composite cladding suitable for my garden gym or office?
Yes, composite cladding is a great choice for finishing your garden office or gym’s exterior.
The cladding is durable and stable, as well as incredibly stylish, all whilst requiring minimal maintenance and upkeep.
Can I choose vertical or horizontal cladding?
Yes, most customers choose horizontal boards for a modern look, but vertical composite cladding layouts are also possible if preferred.
Is composite cladding fire rated?
Our boards are designed for safe external use and meet the required UK standards for domestic outbuildings.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Don't believe a word that comes out of this con mans mouth, he'll offer you the world and promise everything and screw you over at the first chance with absolute rubbish, we had a garden room built (if you can call it that) which he said it was a summer house, we had to have another company come in to sort a lot of very sub par work from these cowboys.
We took him to court and won but because of the con man way he liquidated his company owing us and many suppliers a lot of money only to start trading the very next day, I'm sure he's done this before and he'll only do it again at other peoples cost.

A superb experience from start to finish. Our extension was built exactly to our requirements. We had lots of questions and these were all answered quickly and professionally. Despite the weather not always being on our side, the build was completed within the week’s quoted time frame and completed to the highest of standards. After another company coming and building me a summer house and trying to rip me off. green leaf garden buildings 2 days later came and built one for me and WOW I love it! the guys have done a brilliant job! very quick service, reliable l, fits to preference would recommend to anyone.

Greenleaf produced an amazing turnaround from what was just an idea a couple of weeks ago to a transformation of an old bunker space into a very tidy looking summerhouse/potting shed!! Dan, Ashley and Shane were easy to talk to implement my ideas and communication was excellent . Despite poor weather the building went up and was a perfect fit.

Well what can I say.... The team were absolutely perfect. They kept me in contact through all stages of the build, including contacting the subcontractors for plastering and electricals.
The only they they were unable to do was get my ethernet ran through the attic to the garden office, but they did run it until the last point before a ladder was required!
Dan and team did such a great job. The frame was up in one day as they were able to cut the SIPs in the yard. They managed to get me bifold doors at a discount, which helped with finances too.
Great leeway where needed and EXCELLENT budget consciousness from the team. They built exactly what I wanted, for exactly as much as I was willing to pay

Recently purchased a garden room and the service from start to finish was faultless. A home visit was quickly arranged to talk through our requirements, Dan the owner was great and quickly provided a very competitive quote, I agreed the price and booked for the work to be done.

I highly recommend Dan and his team. I had a garden office built that attached to the side of my house and from start to finish they were amazing.
I had a single door on the front and French doors at the back opening onto the garden. The build also included insulation, electrics, heating and plastering.
I’ve wanted something like this for ages and finally been able to have it done. I explained what I wanted and they certainly delivered above and beyond my expectations.

Can't recommend the team at Green Leaf enough! From our initial discussions with Katie to getting the plan written up and then getting the work done in 2 days! Dan was very precise and kept to the schedule, although they quoted us until the end of the week but they completed the foundations and build with 2 days!!!
